Qualifications:
• Must have a degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Electrical-Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering.
• Must have a good to advanced level of English. Since they will work with international teams, their communication skills must be fluent and effective. Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
• Must have an interest in automotive topics and preferably possess basic knowledge in engines, transmissions, emissions, alternative fuels, or control systems. Having completed academic or practical projects/research in these areas is an advantage.
• Must have the ability to reflect problem-solving steps and lean thinking into their work.
• Must have skills in information gathering and learning through research.
• Must demonstrate perseverance and the ability to achieve results when faced with challenges.
• Must have the ability to set priorities and guide teams to achieve project goals.
• Preferably have knowledge of Codep, PLM, Siemens NX, and Catia software.
• Must possess customer sensitivity and strong persuasive skills.
Job Description / Expectations:
•Acts as the sole reference person between the Propulsion System and the Vehicle Platform.
•Ensures that designs are developed, verified, and tested in line with project objectives (cost, quality, performance, and timing) for the model being worked on by collaborating with the Propulsion System and related departments.
•Responsible for the development timeline and KPIs for powertrain integration components, propulsion systems, software, and calibration.
•Facilitates timely, proactive, and transparent communication between PRS (Propulsion Systems) and Vehicle Teams in both directions.
•Updates project vehicles, shares vehicle issues and needs, understands these issues, directs priorities within PRS, and conveys PRS needs to the Vehicle Team to find solutions.
•Plans and ensures operational follow-up for new and derivative projects, model years, special series projects, and product requests; coordinates relevant units to meet given objectives and ensures adherence to the project timeline.
•Coordinates the Propulsion System team during bulletin activities, interacts with the Planning and VEMO teams, and ensures communication between the Propulsion System team and Platforms/Top Hats CVE Teams.
•Monitors application plans (hardware) and consistency with development schedules.
•Coordinates the Propulsion System team to meet BOM and change management process requirements.
•Manages and evaluates engineering firms and co-design firms in technical assessment meetings based on project scope and objectives.
•Ensures product sheets or component designs are prepared in alignment with PE functions and project objectives.
•Reviews AQ plans and carries out the approval process with the PE function.
•Provides inputs for budget planning for activities to be carried out throughout the year, based on commonly monitored issues for the model or all models, and ensures adherence to the budget.
•Assesses quality issues for the responsible model, carries out project-related activities, and reports the results.
•Ensures that all software levels for project vehicles are delivered on time and meet quality expectations.
•Conducts benchmarking of PWT components to follow new trends, proposes improvements (cost, quality, weight) for current and new models, develops advanced research project/patent proposals, and takes part in related projects.
