This position is Controls System Software Development of Propulsion Systems such as Internal Combustion Engines, Hybrid Architectures and Battery Electric Vehicles. The activity includes model based controls system development in Matlab/Simulink environment, validation tests as MIL/SIL/HIL, analysis activities using Vector (Canalyzer), Etas (INCA) tools, automatic code generation and documentation. When required, Controls Engineers need to also support Calibration, Validation and Requirement teams.
Qualifications:
• If you have graduated from universities in Electrical & Electronics Engineering , Electronic Communication Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering departments.
• If you have advanced proficiency in English, preferably knowledge of Italian.
• Strong knowledge of control theory and engine control systems.
•Experience in model-based control development using Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow.
•In-depth understanding of internal combustion engine systems and related software.
•Familiarity with ETAS INCA, MDA, CANalyzer, and MS Visio tools.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
•Demonstrated ability to conduct technical interviews with positive outcomes (local and global).
•Knowledge and experience in testing and validation processes (MIL/SIL/HIL).
•Ability to prepare technical documentation and reports.
•Strong teamwork and effective communication skills.
Job Description / Expectations:
• Designing and developing control algorithms in the Matlab/Simulink environment.
•Preparing requirement documents and creating design and validation documentation.
•Analyzing and resolving reported issues throughout the development process.
•Preparing and delivering presentations related to ongoing developments.
•Planning and executing Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) tests.
•Conducting defeat device analyses and reporting findings.
•Generating and validating embedded codes.
•Performing modeling style guideline checks and ensuring compliance.
•Conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
